A natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo grass, bamboo fabric is a light and durable fabric that is more sustainable and environmentally sound that synthetic fabrics. It is also believed to have beneficial anti-bacterial properties, reducing unpleasant odors from bacteria that form in fabrics.

Soft bamboo fabric provides excellent ventilation and water absorption - its able to take up three times its own weight in water, pulling moisture away from the skin of its wearer. Bamboo fabric retains these beneficial qualities even through long periods of use and multiple washings.

This carrier is GREAT!!

After much research, I decided to try the Lascal. I have never written a review before, but I could not really find any reviews on this product online so I decided to post one for future shoppers! Let me just tell you, this thing is GREAT!! I have tried the Baby Bjorn, and with an 18 pound three month old, my back hurt so bad after using it! I thought about getting an Ergo, but my sweet son likes to face forward. So I got this one, and I am really pleased with it. I have gone on several outings/walks now with it, and I have had no back pain. The lumbar support in this thing is terrific, and I feel like my son sits really well in it. I know it has a special spine support for baby. The fabric is really nice also (not too hot for summer, but not too light and flimsy), and it is really easy to take on and off - it actually works pretty much the same as the Bjorn, just with MUCH better support. Hands down the best carrier of this type yet!

I was actually shopping for a Baby Bjorn Active when I came across the Lascal M1. And it's a good thing I did! By far a better product. I would recommend an Ergo as a top pick for the ladies as it bears weight on the hips rather than the back and can be worn on the back, but the Lascal is the best product that both men and women can (would not be embarrassed) to wear. Pros: Lightweight, balances load of weight and provides excellent lumbar support. Excellent support for baby's spine and head. Keeps baby snug. More breathable than BB Active, especially in on the back where the harness is. Very modern styling. Carries 8-30lbs. Adjustable width. Length/height is also adjustable to accommodate baby as she grows. Easy to clean and machine washable. Headpiece detaches to wash separately. Cons:Pricey, but only $10 more than BB Active. Mesh-like fabric may "catch" easily to jewelry clasps and watches. Cannot be worn on your back.
