Poorly Manufactured

The chair is beautiful, sturdy, and not tacky like those plastic ones. The downside, the screw holes did not match up when we attached the bottom-part legs to the seat area. We had to drill new holes. Secondly, where the tray attached to the chair, there was a loose screw stuck in there, so in order to attach the tray properly, we had to disassemble to tray sliding mechanism, remove the loose screw, and re-assemble. If I didn't have my husband as a handy man, I'd have to return it and wait for a new one.

CLASSY CHAIR

Ordered this on Tuesday at around 2 p.m. by 4:30, it was at FEDEX on its way from Michigan to Florida. Fastest shipping ever. It arrived at my house before 3 p.m. on Friday. 72 hrs. from order to delivery. AWESOME. Chair is everything I anticipated it would be. Looks great with my Dining Room set. Baby now has her own SPOT at the table. She loves it. Tray works great. Easiest assembly ever, just four screws to fasten seat assembly to leg assembly. Looks like an heirloom. Tag says made by American Workers in America. I loved that. Very good quality. Glad I spent the money for this over tacky plastic one.

A Good Chair for Good Taste

I couldn't agree with the previous reviewer more. I absolutely was not going to have a big, tacky plastic high chair in my house so I shopped primarily on the basis of looks. I felt that the simple Rochelle chairs fit into my design scheme the best. It functions very well for me (no troubles with the tray or anything) and I've been very satisfied with my purchase.

A Good Choice

We bought this highchair a month ago for our now 6 month old baby and we like it a lot. It looks nice and it's super sturdy , easy to clean and there's lots of room so our baby can use it for a long time (we have towels stuffed in the sides still to keep her propped up). Our tray slides in and out easily, unlike the other reviewer. If I had to have a complaint, it would be that it takes me a little longer to get the belt situated and fastened than I would like but I think it will get easier once my baby gets a little bigger. It's easy to get off though and I feel like she's super safe when it's fastened. I also like that by removing a few screws we will have a nice toddler chair when she gets bigger. I'm glad we bought it over a cheaper plastic one.

Rochelle Charlotte High Chair

I was more concerned with having an attractive high chair than a comfortable one, and that is what I got. It required practically no assembly, and looks great in my dining room, but it obviously doesn't offer the convenience of the big obnoxious-baby-patterned cushioned high chairs. I'm using it with my seven-month-old who can't quite sit up on his own yet. I just keep a little foam pad under his rear when he's in it to keep him from slipping. It works just fine for him. So I do recommend this chair to anyone who doesn't want a tacky chair in her lovely dining room and is willing to sacrifice a little in function. Also: I do wish that the tray was a little easier to move back and forth. It gets (temporarily) stuck pretty easily.
