Our Review of the LIKEaBIKE Mountain balance bike
The LIKEaBIKE Mountain is the truly flexible option for parents in the market for a balance or training bike. With five colors to choose from and the ability to handle indoor and outdoor situations of all kinds, the Mountain has become the most popular model on the LIKEaBIKE line.
The strong, laminated birch frame and pneumatic tires make the LIKEaBIKE Mountain durable. The only step up from this model is the LIKEaBIKE Forest. The main difference between the two is that the Forest is constructed from beech wood, (slightly darker and harder than the Mountain frame, made of birch).

The best bike to learn on

I purchased two of these balance bikes for my twins, after feeling like the two-wheelers-with-training-wheels weren't teaching the kids anything. They also couldn't ride very fast with training wheels, and were constantly needing pushes up hills, etc. The Like-a-Bikes changed my life! My twins, at age 3, could go a couple of miles happily on their balance bikes, and at a good rate. I was finally able to start going for long walks again (which I hadn't been able to do since they stopped tolerating the twin stroller at age 2). At the age of four, both kids happily transitioned to regular two-wheelers without training wheels, without missing a beat! It was so easy.
Now I feel like training wheels are the most ridiculous invention EVER. My kids (now 5) still enjoy riding their Like-a-Bikes even though they also ride regular bikes. The Like-a-Bikes are also much easier to take along places since they fit easily in the car and are so lightweight. We purchased the kickstand and saddlebag accessories, and have been quite pleased with both of them.

Great Bike, no training wheels required

Bought this for our then two year old son, he showed little interest in it then. Now at 2 1/2 he has mastered it. Learning to balance is key to riding a real bike. No training wheels will be required when he transitions to a regular pedal bike since he already has the balance down. Great product, very well constructed, and a great conversation starter!

Love it!

I put my daughter Piper on this, she's small at almost 2 1/2 years old. She LOVES it!! We used it in the house a while, now we've gone almost a mile on it. She picks up her feet and glides down small hills and can totally cruise on it. Really fun to watch. This is a great step to getting her right on a bike when she's ready. She's really learning balance, far beyond what I was expecting at this age.
