Our Review of the Kettler Air Navigator tricycle w/Pushbar

Kettler Kettrike Air Navigator Videos

The Kettler Air Navigator with Pushbar possibly has the largest range of features included with any single trike package. For parents seeking a top of the lineĀ ride for their child, this Kettler tricycle could very well be what you're looking for.

  • Adjustable pushbar for strolling
  • Tri-wheel steering navigation system
  • Quick-Adjust frame with multiple frame adjustments
  • Durable storage bucket for snacks
  • Air-filled tires for a smooth and comfortable ride
  • Auto-Freewheel mechanism that allows kids to rest feet on peddles while you push

For a stroller and tricycle combination like this, another option is the Kettler Air Happy with Pushbar. Although it is less expensive, the Air Happy doesn't have the storage bucket or tandem adaptability.

Throwing it away

1
Reviewer: Rich , New Jersey Date: August 20, 2010
The "free wheeling" front hub is a death trap!! I've had enough of my kid rolling into the street and stubbing his toes trying to stop it. $49 trikes from Wal-Mart that he borrows from his friends are much easier for a 3 year old, learning to pedal. It is well built, but there is no way to lock the front wheel so the pedals and wheel are always connected - they won't take it back... so I'm throwing it in the garbage (and my kid doesn't care)!

Comments from The Staff:

We're so sorry to hear about the issues your child has had with the Kettler Air Navigator tricycle. Unfortuntately, once an item purchased from us is used, it cannot be returned. Kettler tricycles are warrantied by the manufacturer up to 3 years, and it may be possible the tricycle you have is defective, as this is not a common complaint about these bikes. You could try to contact Kettler to see if they can offer any assistance in this manner at info@kettlerusa.com.

Thanks!

-Melissa

Great toy for my child--he loves it. But hard to assemble. Despite tremendous efforts, I couldn't get it so the steering part was perfectly straight, so the trike veers left slightly...

With my first son we had a Radio Flyer, which worked ok, but pretty cheap tricycle in quality, by the time he was done, so was the Trike. This Kettler, while it took about 45 minutes to put together, is really on a different level of quality all together. Of course, so is the price. But basically, this was made by engineers, there is a lot of thought put into it, and it shows and performs. My guess is that this one will last a long time. With the air filled tires, it's smoother and safer as my daughter coasts down small hills. Very happy with it.
