Benefits for You: Bike into town with your kids in tow, then park and lock your bike, and take them out for a stroll. The Sierra Double Trailer comes equipped with a stroller kit, which quickly converts your trailer into stroller mode with the included swiveling front wheel and handle bar. For more comfort while you push, the handle bar includes a rubberized non-slip grip.

With the InSTEP easy to fold frame and quick release wheels the Sierra folds compactly for convenient storage in tight spaces. The 16-inch air-filled tires make for easy handling on paved roads and sidewalks, but this bike trailer is not appropriate for trails and rugged terrain. However, it does feature a parking brake for added safety while in stroller mode.

Installation: Install the versatile coupler to the rear axle of your bike. For quick-release axles, this requires no tools. For standard axles with rear hub nuts, you'll need a wrench. Once that is in place, attach the included tow arm to the coupler, and away you go!

Comparison: For better handling on trails and rugged terrain, try the InSTEP Rocket Double Trailer. Its larger, 20-inch wheels and stable aluminum frame absorb the bumps to ensure a smooth ride. The lightweight frame saves about 8 lbs in comparison to the Sierra, but the Rocket is a step up in terms of price and quality.

Although you won't find double trailers that compare to InSTEP's low price, we do carry other quality bike trailers. If you're willing to spend the money, the Burley Encore bike trailer is even more versatile than the Sierra. The Encore not only converts to a stroller, but a jogger and skier as well (with the appropriate kits). The Encore has the same capacity as the Sierra, but weighs almost 10 lbs less.
